One of the fastest business jets on the market, the Gulfstream G350 boasts a transcontinental range and large cabin for a comfortable charter experience.

About this aircraft

  • Designed as a shorter-range version of the Gulfstream G450, the G350 was first delivered in 2005.
  • The G350 can fly from New York to anywhere in North America, from Rio de Janeiro to Miami, and from Sydney to Singapore.
  • Most of the G350’s typical layouts have executive seating for 12-14 passengers.
  • The baggage hold can accommodate 12 suitcases.
  • Gulfstream ceased production of the G350 in 2012.

Although the Gulfstream G350 doesn’t have the extended range of the G450, it’s still an incredibly comfortable transcontinental jet and a strong performer in the heavy jet category.

Interior design

Most G350 configurations feature 12-14 seats across three zones. There's usually a four-seat club in the front section, followed by a variation of conference seating and divans. An aft stateroom layout with one or two berthing divans can accommodate lay-flat beds.

A galley big enough for two meal services can be positioned in either the front or back of the cabin. There’s an enclosed lavatory in the rear that provides access to the baggage hold, while an extra lavatory can be placed in the forward section.

The comfortable cabin has a 100% fresh-air system, 6,000-foot cabin altitude control and 12 large windows. The latest in-flight information and entertainment systems, including satellite TV and internet, are often available onboard.

Below are some typical configurations found on a Gulfstream G350.

Interesting facts to know before you fly

  • Gulfstream’s signature oval windows flood the cabin with natural light and are positioned so you can see the world below from the comfort of your seat.
  • Although the G350 can’t travel as far as the G450, the difference in range is only about 1,000 km. Aside from this, the two are almost identical.

Technological features

Fitted with twin Rolls-Royce Tay engines providing 13,850 lbs of thrust each, the G350 can use runways as short as 5,050 feet (sea level) and climb to 41,000 feet in under 20 minutes.

The aircraft has a PlaneView cockpit with four Honeywell 21 EFIS screens and a Gulfstream-designed cursor control system.

History

Following the GIV’s success, Gulfstream wanted to make an aircraft that combined a large cabin and coast-to-coast range with a price tag only slightly higher than a super-midsize jet.

The G350 cost $5 million (USD) less than its longer-range G450 sibling, but the pair were virtually indistinguishable. It was first delivered in 2005 and enjoyed a relatively successful uptake, including a sizable order from GM Motors, before production ceased in 2012.

Manufacturer

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is an American aircraft company based in Savannah, Georgia and a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Dynamics. The company originated in the late 1950s when Grumman Aircraft Engineering Co. developed a twin-turboprop business aircraft called the Grumman Gulfstream I (G-I) at its facilities in Bethpage, New York.

Gulfstream now designs, develops, manufactures, markets and services the latest business jet aircraft and has produced more than 2,000 aircraft since 1958.

Cost

Depending on various factors, the average price of a pre-owned Gulfstream G350 is around $13.6 million (USD).
