CESSNA CITATION LATITUDE
介紹
- Passengers 8
One of the best selling midsize business jets on the market, the Citation Latitude offers intelligent innovation, class-leading performance, a spacious cabin and New York-to-LA non-stop range.
About this aircraft
- Responding to customers’ requests for a larger cabin, Cessna launched the Citation Latitude in 2015.
- The midsize jet usually seats seven or eight passengers, with a ninth seat in the enclosed lavatory if needed.
- According to Cessna, the Citation Latitude can fly four passengers around 5,000 km and complete non-stop flights from LA to New York and Geneva to Dubai.
- The baggage hold is significantly larger than competitors like the Hawker 900XP, with space for around 14 suitcases.
Launched as a larger aircraft than the Cessna Citation XLS+ and a cheaper option than the Cessna Citation Sovereign, the Latitude remains one of the best-performing charter options in its class.
Interior design
The Latitude’s sleek interior boasts modern technology and fully-reclinable leather seats with generous legroom. Its standard layout features four chairs in a club formation, with two forward-facing seats in the back and a two-seat divan at the front that can be reduced to a single seat to make space for a larger refreshment centre. The enclosed lavatory at the rear of the aircraft can be used as an extra passenger seat.

Interesting facts to learn before you fly
- Modern onboard technology means passengers can use their mobile phones to control cabin features like window shades, temperature, entertainment and lighting.
- Chairs can be fully reclined during a flight.
- The aircraft’s partial recirculation system keeps the cabin air clean.
Technological features
The Latitude is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW306D1 turbofan engines. Centred around Garmin G5000 avionics, the flight deck has three 14-inch landscape displays that can function independently as a primary flight display or multifunction display, while synthetic vision technology gives a virtual-reality view of terrain, obstacles, traffic and runways beyond the windshield.
History
Cessna developed the Citation Latitude following customer demand for an aircraft with a "taller, wider and longer cabin", designing a midsize business jet that was larger than the Citation XLS+ and cheaper than the Citation Sovereign. The Latitude was unveiled at the 2011 NBAA Business Aviation Conference and certified in 2015, before deliveries began the following year.
Manufacturer
Cessna was founded in 1927 by Clyde Cessna and Victor Roos. It was originally called the Cessna-Roos Aircraft Company, but Roos’ name was dropped after he resigned just one month into the partnership and sold back his interest to Cessna.
Headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, the company specialised in producing small piston-powered planes and business jets. After becoming one of the world’s biggest general aviation producers, it was bought by General Dynamics in 1985 and by Textron in 1992. In March 2014, Cessna stopped operating as a subsidiary company and joined Beechcraft and Hawker as one of the three distinct brands produced by Textron Aviation.
Cost
A used Cessna Citation Latitude can cost $11-13 million (USD), while a new model will set you back up to $17 million.
